The Chalice

A 65-second narrative film built around one room, two people and the moment a weapon changes hands.

The premise

A queen has to poison the man she loved. He walks in and knows. The scene stays at one table, where the cup passes between them and the decision remains just out of frame.

The direction

The space was mapped before generation. She stays screen-left, he stays screen-right, and the camera never crosses the line between them. Their eyelines meet across cuts, even though every shot was made separately.

The edit

The tension comes from the rhythm. The cuts tighten through the escalation, then slow at the climax. Sound builds underneath the film before dropping almost to silence at the two moments that matter.

Delivered

One 65-second vertical film made from 18 shots, with character continuity, spatial continuity and sound design carried through the whole scene.
